  8. Directory Toolkit for Windows (shareware) - A multipurpose
  9. directory and file utility that provides features missing from
  10. Windows NT/2000/XP Pro & Home, Windows 2003, and Windows Vista
  11. (all versions). It displays single directory lists or side-by-side
  12. directory comparisons using color coding for alike, different, or
  13. missing files. Directory comparisons can be based on dates or a
  14. binary file analysis of actual file content. You can copy, move, &
  15. rename files while retaining long filenames and six built-in
  16. synchronize functions simplify updating directories. Built-in
  17. archive functions, with Explorer shell extensions, let you create
  18. & manage ZIP archives from Explorer and Directory Toolkit can
  19. serve as your primary archive manager for supported archives. File
  20. operations (copy, move, delete, rename) and directory comparison
  21. functions work seamlessly on files in archives, e.g., no need to
  22. manually extract files first.

  190. - Scripts can have a [Default] section that specifies settings
  191.   you wish to use for all actions, but which you can still 
  192.   override in each action.
  193. - Compare Files dialog has buttons for navigating through sections.
  194.   Also, the windows can be scrolled in synch now and the compare

  197. - In the Touch dialog you can now add or subtract (use a 
  198.   negative value) seconds from the date/time stamp of

  200. - Support for file checksum generation, sorting by checksum and
  201.   duplicate matching using file checksums.  Output files can

  203. - Split can now be performed based on a string to be found in 
  204.   the file. The split can be made before or after the string

  206. - Sorting by name or full path is supported.  Clicking on the
  207.   various row headers will cycle through all sort options.
  208. - When case sensitive file name comparison is used (in Options),
  209.   file synch operations ensure the target file names are updated
  210.   also.

  212. - Option was added to display or not archives at all times in 1

  256.   tree with subdirectories. Fields in the report can be selected

  258. - Data tips are displayed when data in a column of the main window 
  259.   is partially displayed. 
  260. - If an archive is first displayed and it contains a SETUP program, 
  261.   Directory Toolkit prompts if all files should be temporarily 
  262.   decompressed and the installation executed.  Upon completion, 
  263.   closing DT will clean the temporary files. 
  264. - Extract and Add to ZIP toolbar buttons and menus are available. 
  265. - You can select several files and/or directories from the Explorer, 
  266.   right-click and select Add to ZIP file.  Also, archives in the 
  267.   form of self-extracting executables in PKZIP format can be 
  268.   right-clicked and opened as archives. 
  269. - You can now synchronize ZIP files to directories or to other ZIP 
  270.   files as well as directories to directories.  ZIP files and 
  271.   directories can be created (enter the name in the main dialog or 
  272.   the File Operations dialog). 
  273. - A Network button is available for Windows 95 and NT 4.0 users 
  274.   in the Select Directory window. 
  275. - Older files are displayed in blue (reversed icon for color-blind
  276.   users) in Comparison View, when not using Binary Compare 
  277.   Files. 
  278. - When dragging and dropping files between the Directory Toolkit's 
  279.   lists, the directory structure is recreated. 
  280. - Improved output file generation. 
  281. - Ignore whitespace option for text files in Compare Files dialog. 
  282. - BinHex and XXE encoding is now supported. 
  283. - Clicking on the column headers will sort the output and 
  284.   automatically change the appropriate Options.  Clicking again

  288. - User's date format (in Control Panel) is now used for directory

  290. - A match different duplicate files allows you to find duplicate 
  291.   files on a drive by checking the box (in Options) and using the 
  292.   same path (ie. e:\ and e:\).  This option can also be used with 
  293.   different drives and files will be matched regardless of the 
  294.   complete path. 
  295. - Command line parameters can now be used to start a synch or
  296.   compare directories operation.  See help for more specifics. 
  297. - Compare Files will automatically detect if one of the files is 
  298.   binary and display the report as a Hex Dump rather than a 
  299.   line-by-line comparison. 
  300. - The Decode feature will allow decoding of files which do not 
  301.   specify a file name in the MIME header. 
  302. - Toolbar buttons were added for Options and Compare Files. 
  303. - Compare Files dialog can display files one above the other or
  304.   side by side (see Options dialog). 
  305. - Synchronize Directories now has a Remove Duplicate files from
